Topless Tuesday

Topless Tuesday will have to be Topless Wednesday this week. I'm visiting my parents and have not had the chance to even think of who I want to feature let alone write a post so I will do it tomorrow. Who do you think I should feature? I'll gladly take suggestions!

Yumday Monday: Yeon Woo Jin

It's Monday again! Yay? To make us feel a little bit better let's look at a handsome man and eat or at least imagine eating something yummy! I know I won't have creme brulee any time soon but it is nice to look at the pictures of it!

I've been watching "Marriage, Not Dating!" (For the second time. Ahem.) so I've had Yeon Woo Jin on my mind. His character seems cold and charismatic but he's actually a big, goofy softie with a warm heart. It's fun watching his relationship progress and see his little quirks. Plus he is just nice to look at. So let's look at him!

Just look at that smile! I grin like a crazy person whenever I see it.

Black looks good on you, Yeon Woo Jin!

I love this look too. Perfect for fall! Why is your mouth so perfect Woo Jin?

I think he is waiting for us. We're coming, Woo Jin!

Since I've been watching "Marriage, Not Dating!" I decided to think of something yummy to go with Yean Woo Jin's character Gong Gi Tae and came up with creme brulee! When I think of creme brulee I think of it served in an individual dish, all alone just like Gi Tae wanted to be most of the drama. Creme brulee also has a hard, slightly bitter exterior with a sweet, warm inside. Gi Tae is just a goofy romantic hidden under a tough exterior and Woo Jin does a great job portraying that.

I got my creme brulee recipe from Alton Brown who is just awesome in my opinion. I've never made a bad recipe from him. Here you go!

Ingredients
1 quart heavy cream
1 vanilla bean, split and scraped
1 cup vanilla sugar, divided
6 large egg yolks
2 quarts hot water
Directions
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.

Place the cream, vanilla bean and its pulp into a medium saucepan set over medium-high heat and bring to a boil. Remove from the heat, cover and allow to sit for 15 minutes. Remove the vanilla bean and reserve for another use.

In a medium bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup sugar and the egg yolks until well blended and it just starts to lighten in color. Add the cream a little at a time, stirring continually. Pour the liquid into 6 (7 to 8-ounce) ramekins. Place the ramekins into a large cake pan or roasting pan. Pour enough hot water into the pan to come halfway up the sides of the ramekins. Bake just until the creme brulee is set, but still trembling in the center, approximately 40 to 45 minutes. Remove the ramekins from the roasting pan and refrigerate for at least 2 hours and up to 3 days.

Remove the creme brulee from the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes prior to browning the sugar on top. Divide the remaining 1/2 cup vanilla sugar equally among the 6 dishes and spread evenly on top. Using a torch, melt the sugar and form a crispy top. Allow the creme brulee to sit for at least 5 minutes before serving.

PROPANE GAS TORCH SAFETY: Propane gas torches are highly flammable and should be kept away from heat, open flame, and prolonged exposure to sunlight. They should only be used in well-ventilated areas. When lighting a propane gas torch, place the torch on a flat, steady surface, facing away from you. Light the match or lighter and then open the gas valve. Light the gas jet, and blow out the match. Always turn off the burner valve to "finger tight" when finished using the torch. Children should never use a propane gas torch without adult supervision.

So what do you think about Yeon Woo Jin? I think I need to watch some more of the stuff that he has been in. As I was researching for this post I noticed some pretty adult things. Am I mature enough for that? Probably not. Ha ha! Will you be making or enjoying creme brulee any time soon?

Boarding House No. 24: Episode 2 Review

I'm enjoying Boarding House No. 24 so far. I think that it is funny and the characters are cute so far. I get where the gold-digger is coming from even if I think she shouldn't be going after rich guys. I'm glad we got to know the characters a little bit more. The glutinous eater is adorable and I ship her with Lee Jae Won, especially after seeing the preview for the next episode. I'm not really going to have a lot to say until I get to know the characters more but right now I'd say it's worth a watch if you're in the mood for some lighthearted fun.

We do get some truth at the end of the episode as seen in the pictures above. I can't tell you how many times I've thought the same thing.

What do you think of Boarding House No. 24?

My Lovable Girl Episodes 5 and 6 Review

I'm going to do a review of episodes 5 and 6 this week. I do have time for a full recap but I have a busy weekend ahead of me and I want to finish a drama before the weekend is up. I've been stressed out so I need some kind of stress relief and it's good to have goals right? Okay! Here we go!

Look at how nice I am! I put up a cute picture of Rain and Krystal even though I prefer L and Krystal. You're welcome.

We got a lot of sweetness and a lot of drama in episode five for sure. Everyone was understandably upset and stressed out about the breakup of Infinite Power and the fate of ANA. Wook would have it under control, though, if people would just listen to him. He gets them on his side but they always oppose at first.

Shi Woo went missing but he reached out to Se Na. She was very sweet with him. She brought Shi Woo food and was there for him when he felt like nobody else would be. It is obvious that Shi Woo is starting to like Se Na now. I'm just sad that it won't go anywhere.

Wook told Hae Yoon that she is his worker and nothing else because he got very angry about her pushing him into producing music. Later, though, Wook had a change of heart and apologized to Hae Yoon. Wook told her that he has an ear-worm which makes it difficult to even listen to music. Of course this brings up Hae Yoon's feels and Se Na sees them hugging which upset her.

Everyone in Wook's family is unhappy with his father. Wook's step-mom blames his father's adultery on the failing company.

Thoughts: I love Rain but I do not like the Rain and Krystal combo yet. I know, I know. Everyone else is gaga over this relationship but I'm just not feeling it. I can't explain why. I can see them falling for each other but it is unconvincing to me. Maybe because Wook has a secret and I think everything needs to be out in the open before I feel the romance. I don't know. I'm just meh about their relationship right now.

I'm also not into the Rain and Hae Yoon relationship. I like them as friends but it is very obvious that she is the only one interested in romance. Why even give her hope?

I think that Wook is handling the ANA fiasco really well. I like that he has morals and wants to stick with them. Wook is just awesome all around. Maybe that is why I don't like any of the girls around him. He is just too awesome for all of the business. Ha ha!

Can I at least get a hug between Se Na and Shi Woo? That will make me happy. Please?

Shi Woo is back! He decided to go solo and needs a song. Wook presented three songs to his employees and they chose Se Na's not knowing it was her's. Tough cookies. You can't change your mind now. There is opposition everywhere, though, and they might even lose a huge investment because the investor doesn't like the song so there is that cliffhanger.

Wook's dad is in big trouble. His wife is on to his affairs and even wants to send him to an old person's home. She is having him followed and is talking to a lawyer about divorce. Wook doesn't want anything to do with him either and warns him that he should get his act together before Min Ah leaves him too..

When Se Na tried to treat Wook to a dinner to thank him for his help Hae Yoon tags along. The girls aren't getting along well and Wook even says that he and Hae Yoon aren't dating...yet. Se Na isn't happy but really she doesn't have anything to worry about. She even gets a hug so that like seals the deal right?

Thoughts: This episode had a lot of cute moments. I enjoyed it more than the last one. I don't really have much to say on it. I'm curious about what will happen with the investor but I'm sure Wook will take care of it. What do you guys think?

Fighting Friday

It's almost the weekend, ya'll! Friday can be the hardest day of the week, though, because you have to go through the torture of school and/or work before you can enjoy your weekend and the day tends to drag. So, to cheer ya'll up we're going to have Fighting Friday! Let the silliness begin!

Big Byung's Stress Come On! I listen to this song and watch the video more than I should but it cheers me up! The boys are funny in the video and the lyrics are too. You should check it out if you're having a hard day.

How about some of my favorite Kdrama memes? You could still use a smile right?

Finally, one of my favorite goofy pictures of one of my Kdrama biases and one of my Kpop biases.

What do you do to cheer yourself up and get through a hard day?

Hersday Thursday: Lee Guk Joo

I'm making Thursdays hersdays. I know Lee Guk Joo isn't a Kdrama female lead but I have recently developed a girl crush on her so she will be the first female I feature! Plus, I don't think many people would mess with her.

Here is Lee Guk Joo posing for Vogue Korea. She is rocking that dress and hair! I think she looks awesome here. The guys help too. Lee Guk Joo can we be besties?

Fierce! Look at her working it! I really want that dress.

This is supposed to be a funny video which it kind of is but the girl can dance! I wanna move like her fo' reals!

She does funny CFs with Kim Woo Bin! Kim Woo Bin. Kim freakin' Woo Bin! I am jealous of both of them.

Another awesome CF featuring her dancing skills. I'm telling you! She is just awesome.

And I mean, Gary is totally in love with her. Look at this!

After she danced Gary sat down next to her and Lee Guk Joo said he was stuck to his side. When asked if he likes her Gary said he didn't plan it either and leaned on her.

See? Seeeeeeeee?

Lee Kwang Soo even said he likes chubby girls like her! Eeee! Hee hee!

Jackson from Got7 is totally crushing on her too! I mean, this woman is so adorable and funny she has got all these guys liking her. It is extra impressive since she is overweight and Korea has such a high standard of beauty. By the way I think she is absolutely beautiful.

Lee Guk Joo isn't only awesome because of all the men surrounding her. Every variety show I've seen her on she has been funny and the guests and hosts like her. They want to talk and laugh with her. She steals a lot of camera time because of her intriguing personality! I think that is awesome.

Do you have a girl crush or just really admire a female celebrity? Let me know who it is and why!

Here is a bonus MV with Kidoh and Sangdo that shows Lee Guk Joo's funniness, dancing, and how beautiful she is.

Whatever Wednesday: The Princess Bride

Guys, guys, guys! Who else loves The Princess Bride? I mean, everyone right? RIGHT?! Of course! I know we all love Kdramas too so I thought I would pick a cast for the Korean version of The Princess Bride! I combined two things that I love and now I want to see it for real! Someone get on this!

First we have Song Ji Hyo as Buttercup! The last drama I saw Song Ji Hyo in was Emergency Couple and she played a matter of fact woman who knew what she wanted and stood up for it. Buttercup knew she did not want to marry Prince Humperdinck and did anything she could to get out of the marriage. I think that they look similar as well. Their chin, lips, nose, and eyes are very similar.

Next I chose Lee Dong Wook as Wesley. I'm watching Lee Dong Wook in Blade Man right now. His character has a temper but he also has a sweet side, especially when he is in love. Granted Dong Wook's character expresses his anger differently but you get the idea. Wesley is like that too! You don't want to make him angry and he is so sweet to his Buttercup. Oh and you may think I'm crazy but these two have similar faces too. Their jaws, noses, eyes, and lips are very similar. Wouldn't you say? In my humble opinion, though, Dong Wook takes the prize for looks.

Who do I have for Inigo Montoya? Han Jung Soo! Look at this picture. It screams Inigo Montoya and was actually the picture that inspired this post. I'm watching Jung Soo in Blade Man as Secretary Ko and he is rocking his role. I have a huge major fangirl crush on him right now. What was I saying? Oh! Secretary Ko is fiercely loyal to Hong Bin as Hong Bin's assistant because Hong Bin saved his sister. Inigo Montoya is fiercely loyal to his family too and I have a feeling if something happened to Secretary Ko's family he would go after the person who caused it.

Who else loves Fezzik? He is so awesome and so is Ko Chang Seok as Jo Jung Mi in Good Doctor. While Ko Chang Seok doesn't have Fezzik's height he is an intimidating guy that people have a hard time approaching. In Good Doctor he is a pediatric nurse who is a big softie with the kids but tough when he needs to be. Fezzik is the same way. Big and intimidating but he cares for people in a big way too.

I would like Kim Kwang Kyu to play Vizzini. Now, I haven't seen Kim Kwang Kyu play an evil character but I think he could do it well. In Boarding House No. 24 he is playing a man who created an elaborate plot to get six people who may be his children to live at his boarding house. He anticipates their every move just like Vizzini anticipated Wesley's moves in The Princess Bride. I know that ended up in failure for him but it hasn't for Kwang Kyu so far. Ha ha!

I was hesitating about choosing Lee Min Ho for Prince Humperdinck. I know Gu Jun Pyo was not exactly like Prince Humperdinck but there were similarities so try to stay with me. Prince Humperdinck and Jun Pyo were both spoiled men who wanted something and plotted all kinds of things to get what they wanted. They were both used to people waiting on them for everything and not used to being rejected or hearing someone tell them no. Also, the hair. I mean look at the hair. Hee hee! They actually look similar too. Jaws, mouths and foreheads. I'm sure there is a better Prince Humperdinck but Lee Min Ho popped in my mind and wouldn't leave so there you have it.

I haven't seen Mandate of Heaven so I didn't know that Lee Dong Wook and Song Ji Hyo were in it together but look! They're holding hands just like Buttercup and Wesley! See? SEEEEEEEEE?! That means I did a good job, right?! Tell me I did a good job. Please? Hee hee!

So I know you all won't agree with my choices. Let me know who you would cast in the Korean version of The Princess Bride!
